NeoLoad 3.2 Released

NeoLoad 3.2 has just been released offering better support for Web technologies and enabling cloud-based load generation.

Nationwide's Website goes Offline

8th February 2011 - CIO magazine reports that Nationwide Building Society’s web homepage went offline this morning for 2 hours, apparently after its servers couldn't cope with the volume of data.

Customers attempting to access Nationwide.co.uk were greeted with the message “Server is too busy”.

Such problems can usually be overcome using Load Testing tools to identify performance bottlenecks in the system.

 

Online Shoppers turn away from slow Websites

So, recent research from TNS/Zeus Technology shows that 82% of UK online shoppers said that if a website performed badly it would dissuade them from buying goods from that organisation on the web or in store.

The survey was based on a sample of over 2,000 shoppers and shows that each of them will abandon around 5.5 online purchases every year due to poor website response times.
